Strategy

How capital is committed and managed

A single, repeatable process applies to every investment, from origination through long-term ownership.

Principles

Eight strategic pillars

Investment philosophy

Underwrite resilience first. Prefer assets whose usefulness is structural rather than cyclical, and commit only where governance can genuinely be exercised.

Capital discipline

Pricing discipline is the primary protection against permanent loss. We decline transactions that only work under optimistic assumptions.

Long-term ownership

Holding periods are measured in cycles. Financing, maintenance planning and governance are designed for the life of the asset, not an exit date.

Diversification

Exposure is balanced across sector, geography, currency and instrument, with concentration limits reviewed at group level.

Risk management

Risks are identified before commitment, priced explicitly and monitored throughout ownership with defined escalation procedures.

Value creation

Value is built inside the asset through operational improvement, disciplined capital structure and considered reinvestment.

Partnership model

We work with operators, developers and co-investors who bring capability we do not, and we align incentives contractually.

Cross-border strategy

Jurisdictions are assessed on legal certainty, currency stability, counterparty quality and enforceability of rights.

Investment lifecycle

From opportunity to long-term ownership

Each stage has defined inputs, owners and documentation requirements.

  1. 01OpportunityOrigination through direct relationships, partners and sector mapping.
  2. 02ScreeningInitial fit against sector focus, geography, scale and governance standards.
  3. 03Due DiligenceCommercial, technical, financial, legal and integrity review.
  4. 04Investment CommitteeFormal review, challenge and documented decision.
  5. 05ExecutionStructuring, financing and completion.
  6. 06Portfolio ManagementReporting, governance and performance oversight.
  7. 07Value CreationOperational improvement and disciplined reinvestment.
  8. 08Long-Term Hold / ExitRetain, recapitalise or realise based on strategic merit.

Discuss an opportunity

Proposals are assessed against these principles before any commitment is considered.
